Bookmarks are links referring to Treebolic nodes.
The tree will be anchored (focused) at the node referred to.
Bookmarks can exist in one of two forms.

| 2 | in the URL | as the bookmark suffix to the URL. This follows the syntax of HTML bookmarks with a '#' introducing a reference to a location in the page. | http://someserver/page.html#X56784c547e |
In all cases, the reference is a Treebolic node id.
