Hyperbolic Geometry is a non-Euclidian geometry. Hyperbolic geometry is a curved space. As such it plays an important role in Einstein's theory of relativity and in Topology.
The 2D model that we use is Poincaré 's model of hyperbolic geometry, the Boundary Circle. As a point becomes closer to the Boundary Circle, its distance to the centre approaches infinity (and the distance from any point within the Boundary Circle to the edge of the Boundary circle is infinite).
